Alison is a dynamic and inspirational speaker and host. As a Public Speaking Coach & Trainer she is sought out and has worked with clients even preparing them for Tedx talks. She is a well-known leader in the community; a philanthropist who supports young entrepreneurs and motivational mentor to many.

Alison is collaborating with Start Up Croydon to launch a new business networking group for women. It is aimed at entrepreneurs; female founded SMEs and for women wanting to get into self-employment.

Dunia Shafiq - 04/05/23

Dunia Shafik is the founder of a social enterprise that works with young people at risk of youth violence. Dunia has a lived experience in this area and she is determined to be part of the solution.

Dunia has started up in 2019 and she worked with young people in school, prison, parents with teenage children who are involved within the criminal justice system.

She is a life coach, trainer, NLP Master Practitioner, Wild Voice facilitator. She has a Degree and Masters degree in childhood and youth studies.

Dunia’s next projects are going to be run in other boroughs and cities in the UK, this includes delivering her new programmes which helps young people with a healthy transition to adulthood. She works with them to heal the child and celebrate the adult.

Emma Shepherd set up her business, Let's Talk Disability in 2019 and has taken her passion, experience and understanding, to support other businesses to expand their talent pool, increase their accessibility and heighten their understanding of both disability and mental ill health. Emma is disabled, a part time wheelchair user and has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Migraines and mental ill health. When not working Emma started a mental health Cafe in Croydon at the beginning of 2022, has two teenage boys and three shih tzus dogs that keep her busy.

Saffron is from South London and has seen Croydon through the abundant 90's through to the more recent Croydon Tech City years. She has been working in Croydon in various guises since 2013 and is seen as a key stakeholder. Saffron cares deeply about social mobility and inspiring equality and is well positioned, currently leading the team at Startup Croydon and helping to evolve the organisation in the post-pandemic new digital era.
